It’s yummy. It’s natural. It’s in Delhi. Thank god. No more pleading friends and family coming from Mumbai to get a pack of Natural Icecream. And when different people at home like different flavours, the pleading gets stronger.
Anyway, we entered here and had a quick chat with the staff who confirmed this is the cent-percent the Naturals from Mumbai. Just that their logo has undergone a makeover and their packaging has changed. The reason Naturals is a hit since 1984 is because they contain no artificial flavours, no preservatives or stabilisers, only fresh fruit pulp or dry fruits.
I love most of their flavours, ate 4 scoops today itself. There are fruity, nutty and regular option to choose from. We went for Roasted Almond, Musk Melon, and Sitaphal. The Choco Almond, Mango, Anjeer and Coconut are good too. In fact I bought back a half litre Chickoo pack for folks and it is all gone. The icecream had no icy bits. It was creamy, lush, subtly flavoured and had quality ingredients. Also expect real fruit bits, when you spoon in.
However, there were some missed too- the waffle machine died so we got no fresh waffles, few flavours weren’t available and there was crazy rush. But that didn’t matter because the staff was extremely sweet. They made sure you try as many flavours you like, asked us if the taste matches to one we had in Mumbai and were on their toes.
Coming to the price, just Rs. 55 for a scoop and Rs. 275 for a pack. Unbelievable because the amount of fruit/ nuts in one scoop would cost much more in the market.
They also do special packaging for people who stay far away by packing the icecream in dry ice packs- which is tradition carried from Mumbai.
In short, this is good news for folks who have tried their ice creams and for those who haven’t. Really, if you haven’t tried them yet definitely come here and indulge in made-from-scratch icecream.
Welcome to Delhi, Naturals. And thank you for choosing GK 2 as your first location. I am going to not visit Nirulas, Cocoberry, Gianis, Baskin Robbins, Whipped or others for quite some time now. And honestly they won’t be missed either.
