There are so many options, it was quite a struggle for me to decide my order. We started with a half-and-half shake of French vanilla and chocolate hazelnut with a warm chicken quiche. Both were delicious.
The shake was thick, creamy with right amount of sweetness. The quiche pastry was crumbly, the filling was simple yet rich.
Then we got the Caramel Banana Vanilla Chocolate Mousse. And oh my lord this was so tasty. Soft, shiny pillow-y two kinds of mousses with a caramel and banana centre and a cake-y bottom- all in one. I can eat this every day. It was lush beyond words. There was a nice wobble in the slice we got, was filling and yes worth the money ( 352 bucks).
Next got the raspberry, cream cheese brownie and a salted caramel brownie. Both, again, were so good. The raspberry brownie was not overpowered by the cream cheese, it had clean, distinctive flavors and textures.
The caramel brownie was a stunner. I am a sucker for toffee and this dish reminded me why. It had a crunchy caramel exterior and a fudge-y chocolate interior, my taste buds were literally in a ‘dance party’.
We left with our food souls extremely satiated and a massive smile etched on our faces. The place is full of happy chaos, merriment, oven fresh aromas, just the way I like it.
Warm staff, a cozy atmosphere, lip smacking desserts, Big Chill Cakery has for sure become a favorite. I can’t wait to go out and try some more of their desserts. Anyone in the area, should definitely give it a try.
