B 1 Khan Market is a place made with everything sweet (and a tiny bit of savory). I assure it will most likely take away all kinds of blues- aches, pains, breaks and leave you in a dreamy, gooey world.

Big Chill Cakery is a tiny bakery with the cutest of interiors (can’t get over that wall paper) and the tastiest variety of desserts. This place is always crowded (even near midnight) and some items sell out as soon as they come in- speaks a ton about the food. The manager here, however, is so calm and friendly that the whole pushing, waiting scenario is worth it.

There are so many options, it was quite a struggle for me to decide my order. We started with a half-and-half shake of French vanilla and chocolate hazelnut with a warm chicken quiche. Both were delicious.

The shake was thick, creamy with right amount of sweetness. The quiche pastry was crumbly, the filling was simple yet rich.

Soft, shiny pillow-y two kinds of mousses with a caramel and banana centre and a cake-y bottom- all in one. I can eat this every day. It was lush beyond words. There was a nice wobble in the slice we got, was filling and yes worth the money ( 352 bucks).

Next got the raspberry, cream cheese brownie and a salted caramel brownie. Both, again, were so good. The raspberry brownie was not overpowered by the cream cheese, it had clean, distinctive flavors and textures.
The caramel brownie was a stunner. I am a sucker for toffee and this dish reminded me why. It had a crunchy caramel exterior and a fudge-y chocolate interior, my taste buds were literally in a ‘dance party’.
We left with our food souls extremely satiated and a massive smile etched on our faces. The place is full of happy chaos, merriment, oven fresh aromas, just the way I like it.

FotorCreated1 Warm staff, a cozy atmosphere, lip smacking desserts, Big Chill Cakery has for sure become a favorite. I can’t wait to go out and try some more of their desserts. Anyone in the area, should definitely give it a try.

  1. I ADORE Big Chill! 🙂 one of the best places to visit whenever I’m home. If you don’t mind the chocolate overload, try the Mississippi Mud Pie too, and I always swear by the Blueberry Cheesecake.
